Theatret Thalias Tjenere's actors are at your disposal, too. We have experience teaching just about anyone - regardless of age or experience. Through games and physical activities, a relaxed atmosphere is created in which it is OK to try new things, and OK to make mistakes. Once the head is sent on a well-deserved break, we will begin to see breakthroughs, as the body finds its voice. This is one of the keys to creative acting.

Our point of departure is historical styles. Traditions are a base from which new development can begin. Each style offers some characteristic which the student can grasp and use in all other theatre work: The mask liberates, but demands precision. Melodrama trains believability in expanded emotions and gestures; Commedia dell'arte has it all - plus crazy energy and extreme character...all of the styles challenge the student as actor, and as a person.
